The Education and Travel Grant is actively working to raise funds for grant scholarships. The funding will help us provide travel reimbursement for firefighters who travel for training. We know it gets expensive to travel so the grant will help off-set those out-of-pocket costs.*
We are holding a raffle with some great prizes (see the side bar for details). Our ticket sales are a bit behind schedule and we could use your help!
What's the ask?
Please contact your friends, relatives, co-workers and neighbors and help us get the word out about the raffle. We are only selling 1,000 tickets at $100 each. We need to sell 410 tickets to break even with the cost of the prizes, though we aim to sell all 1,000.
While we're close, we're not quite there. We have until January 8, 2027, to sell all of the raffle tickets. With your support, we know we can achieve this goal!
Texas Law prohibits internet sales but you can purchase your raffle tickets from the following SFFMA members; they will provide a QR code if you want to use a credit card. We accept cash, checks, and credit cards.
Tickets are also available at the SFFMA office in Austin.
Help us get the word out and sell these tickets! We cannot offer any grant scholarships until we raise the funds to finance the Education and Travel Grant. Again, this fund directly helps firefighters across Texas.
